We're starting our last full day at the beach today. It has been a wonderful few days of sun, relaxation, water, and firsts for Abigail. She absolutely loves the pool and ocean! They have a "kiddie" pool where we are staying and she is really enjoying pulling up and walking around the edges; she's even gotten a little brave and tried to walk on her own. :) She enjoys the ocean just as much and is determined to stuff her mouth full of sand!

Well the Price Fam has been busy! Abigail turned one a little over two weeks ago and is growing up before our eyes. She loves to say Da-Da and is crawling up a storm. Lately she has been teething non-stop and currently has 12 teeth! I had an unfortunate run-in with her teeth while applying Oragel and am now MUCH more careful when sticking my finger in her mouth!
Our summer is filling up and we're packing our bags to head to the beach tomorrow. We're also looking forward to time in The Peach state for a summer class and internship for Gill! YIPPEE!!!

Our friends the Flynns came to visit last weekend with Abigail's best buddy Kiera. The girls had a blast and so did the adults! :) Jess took some great 12 month pictures of Abigail and some SUPER fun pictures of the girls together. I'll post a link to those as soon as Jess posts them.

Well, I guess I'm officially the world's worst blogspot updater! :) (Or so I've been told by many!) It's been almost 5 months sense I last updated our little website so here it goes!

The Countdown Begins

Gill is almost home!!!! In order to celebrate and give Gill something to look forward to see everyday, I'm going to post a couple of pictures each day with our countdown. So here are today's pictures. Abigail has really started liking playing in her crib. I was finishing up cleaning her room and she decided she wasn't happy playing on the floor, but loved being in her crib. Whatever, as long as she's content and learning how to play by herself. Mission accomplished!

Christmas Dress

I decided to take a few pictures of Abigail in front of what should be a Christmas tree, but is actually a lighted Poinsettia. :) Oh well, sometimes you have to improvise! She looks SO cute in her smocked dress. I can't wait to see her in all of the ones for next summer... that I got on SUPER sale!

I couldn't wait to see how she would be with the presents, and as you can see she thought they tasted great! :)

In Preparation for the Big Game

This weekend is the big Army/Navy game. Gill's mom (Grann) made sure Abigail was ready for the game by making her this awesome outfit. We took a few pictures of Abigail modeling her outfit next to Daddy's sweatshirt. Their outfits look almost the same.... minus the polka dotted ribbon and bows! :)

Abundant Blessings

There are so many things to be thankful for this year! As I sit to reflect on our abundant blessings, here are some things I thank the Lord for...
1. The privilege to be called His child. The blessing of knowing Him and being called by His name. Praise God!
2. An AMAZING husband who loves me and seeks to know and honor the Lord with his life. He's also a man with a servants heart and an INCREDIBLE daddy. He is the answer to many years of prayer! :)
3. A BEAUTIFUL little girl who brings much joy to my life.
4. Family and friends who encourage, love and challenge me.
5. The freedom that comes from living in a country where I can live out my faith without persecution.
6. An AMAZING church family who has loved and served us so much this year. What an amazing place to worship in spirit and truth!

Provision

Sweet, sweet friends!

The title to this post is "provision." As I was looking at the pictures I planned to post with this entry and the many titles it could be given, I decided "provision" was most appropriate.
Yesterday was my 29th birthday! YAHOO! Next year I embark on my 30's- complete with what I hope to be a great 80's party to celebrate; if anyone has a mullet wig they're willing to let Gill borrow please let us know! :)
My sweet friend Jess planned a wonderful dinner with my friends Emily and Dianna. We went to Carrabba's and had a wonderful time. These ladies have been the source of much of the Lord's provision in the last year. Countless conversations have been shared with much advice, tears, laughter and prayers. These women are INCREDIBLE mothers, wives and women of God and I love them dearly!
As I sat to reflect on the last year and all that it has brought in the form of trials and blessings, I began to think about how each of these women; and countless others, have rallied around our family to be the Lord's hands and feet. WOW, what amazing provision! He is good!
Thanks ladies, I love ya'll!!!!

Dress from Aunt Summer complete with tights. Thankfully the tights were not as hard to get on as I imagined!

Best friends. (I think Kiera is trying to get Abigail's sock off, only to put it in her mouth I'm sure!) Both girls just got their first tooth and LOVE to put anything and everything in their mouths to chew on!

Abigail's favoite place to sit. We use this seat everywhere.. it's been a lifesaver!

Abigail has been busy getting over one cold, just in time to get another! Apparently she is "prone to ear infections" according to her pediatrician. Even tough she's not feeling well she is still such a happy baby. I love her to pieces!!!

Here are some recent pictures of Abigail with friends and family.
Abigail and her best buddy Kiera have really been noticing each other during their time together. Recently I had the girls sitting in front of each other playing and as I walked around the corner I watched Abigail spit out her pacifier only to find that Kiera quickly picked it up and put it in her mouth! :) I laughed walked over and Abigail looked at me as if to say, "Mom, she's supposed to be my friend, but she took my Passy!" :) All I could do was chuckle!

Aunt Summer and Wade came to visit this last weekend and we had blast. Much to Summer's frustration Abigail has really taken to Wade :) (Sorry Summer!)

Fun With Abigail

Enjoying making black bottom cupcakes, you should have seen the look on her face when she saw the chocolate mixture. She's just like her Mama! :)

The last few weeks have been filled with tons of fun AND Abigail's first cold and ear infection. She's finally coming out of the ear infection and cold and back to her old self. I've learned all about vaporizers, baby vapo rub, antibiotics and vapor baths! That was a fun Wal-Mart run! :)

We've had a few firsts in the past couple of weeks. Abigail has learned how to roll from her back to her tummy and is starting to sit up- only for a few seconds before tumbling over. :) Her rolling over put her half way under the sofa last weekend, which she thought was a lot of fun. She also enjoyed our first mother/daughter baking session. We made black bottom cupcakes for small group, yum! :)

Our first time dressing up for Halloween was a ton of fun; at least for me, she wasn't too thrilled with the head piece. Abigail was a beautiful flower and her friend Kiera was a pea pod... so much fun!!!!! The girls modeled their costumes for the folks at small group and were quite the hit.

I've been getting a hard time from all of our blog viewers for not updating more often! :) So here are some new pics.
The last month has been a busy one. With the weather cooling off Abigail has been getting into to her fall/winter clothes and hats, and I've had fun catching her new wardrobe on film. She has also started taking her bottle with more cereal to help with her reflux. The bottles are so thick that we sometimes have to get the last remaining bites with a spoon... which makes for a big mess! :)

Wow, what a month!! We've been super busy and Abigail has made a lot of progress in the last month. She is now on a definite schedule and has slept through the night two nights in a row from 9pm-7:30a!!!! She has also rolled over and started laughing.

Abigail attended her first party; the first birthday party of our friend Wheeler. Jess, Grant and Kiera went with us and we had a lot of fun. We've also had visits from both grandparents which all enjoyed. Both grandmother's had fun buying Abigail some fall clothes. Grann (Gill's mom) bought Abigail her first pair of overalls. We just had to let her try them on (over her footed pj's) to see how they looked! :)

Abigail is also enjoying the Bumbo seat we borrowed from a friend. I think she likes the independence. :)

We have her 4 month appointment this Friday complete with the second round of shots. :( We're also waiting for a referral to get a second opinion from a specialist in Atlanta. Abigail has been diagnosed with allergic colitis and her pediatric gastro. doctor wanted to hospitalize her because she wasn't making the progress we had hoped for with the special formula. Her pediatrician and I have spoken and we're looking to get a second opinion hopefully sometime soon.

This is my awesome friend Jess and her daughter Kiera! Kiera is exactly one month older than Abigail and the girls are just now getting to the point where they notice each other; it's SO much fun. Last night we had our community group/bible study here at our apartment and Kiera showed up in a onesie that Abigail also owns. We decided that Abigail MUST change clothes for this photo op! :) ( Not only are both of our girls daddy's girls, but they also look just like their daddies!) Jess and I can't wait until they can laugh, smile and play together. You can be sure I'll post more pictures of those moments when they happen. Enjoy!

Sleeping Beauty and A New Dress

It's a miracle.. a picture of Abigail sleeping during the day!!!!!!! I'm celebrating one small victory at a time! :)
The other pictures are of Abigail wearing a dress that my friend Emily let me borrow; I LOVE it!

Things here are as well as can be expected. Abigail is growing well on her formula and I'm anxious to see exactly what her weight gain is when we head to the pediatricians office again in about a month. She is having another procedure/test done next week to rule out another tummy problem. The test has to be done at the hospital, but I'm told it is very minor and shouldn't take long. Please be praying for us both as we walk through the test, results and any possible follow on treatments.
Because Abigail cannot eat as much at one sitting it keeps her from getting the calories she needs during the day which help with night sleep. We're still doing one middle of the night feeding and her longest stretch of uninterrupted sleep is about 5-6 hours. I'm hanging on for 8-10 hours!

3 Months

It's hard to believe that Abigail is already three months old! A lot has happened in the last month so I'll try my best to catch you up on things as best I can.
Abigail is now on formula which has TOTALLY changed her disposition. She is much more content and agreeable and seems to be much happier. We were also able to see a specialist for her acid reflux and the changes that were made to her medication and formula with cereal seem to be helping. She's gaining weight much better now and is about 11 pounds. She gained a pound the first week and a half she was on her new formula!
She is smiling all of the time and loves to stick her tongue out when she smiles! :) She is enjoying playing on her play mat and just this week has started grabbing and kicking the hanging toys. Her sleep habits are a work in progress, but we celebrate each small victory and this week has come with many; YIPPEE!

New Dress

Today was a very special day! Abigail received this beautiful dress from Gill's mom (YaYa is the name that seems to have stuck; at least for this week)! Gill and I have a thing for smocked dresses and usually you don't find many small enough to fit a newborn. I was so excited to receive it in a recent package and could not wait to get it on Abigail. I think she looks like a little doll!

More Beach Pictures

Here are a few more pictures from our time in Florida. In addition to Abigail having a lot of firsts this week, my brother Kevin also had a first. He changed his first diaper! :) (As you probably guessed Kevin is the baby in our family!) Fortunately his fiance Erin is the oldest of 7 so she was able to coach him through the experience.
Abigail has not been lacking for attention or time in the arms of family... I'm in for it when we return home! The help has been great and it's been nice to pass her off to take a much needed nap or head for some time on the beach.

First Beach Trip

We're here at the beach and have very spotty internet coverage, but we'll give this a whirl and see what happens! We've had a wonderful trip, minus the drive down- Abigail cried the entire time! Needless to say I was ready to get out of the car and so was she!
Abigail has enjoyed time with family and LOVES the sites and sounds of the ocean. We put her feet in the sand and water yesterday and she really enjoyed it. Here are a few pictures from the beginning of our week. More to come later! (She's smiling and cooing a little and it's SOOOO much fun!)

More Visitors

Well we're back in Columbus and we're settling into our new routine. Abigail is doing really well and night feedings are tiring, but good. She's discovered that she likes her swing for more than 10 minutes which is GREAT; I'm loving being able to eat my breakfast with both hands! :)
We had some sweet visitors last weekend upon our return. My dear friend Ashley was in town. We've been friends since High School and I had the awesome privilege of being her roommate our freshman year in college! Also, our friends Max and Kathleen and their little boy Jackson came to visit. I've known Max since my freshman year in high school and was delighted when he married Kathleen who is so much fun to be with. My sister Summer stopped through yesterday for a quick visit while in town and all of the Hatcher clan are gearing up for our trip to the beach in a week. There are sure to be many pictures to follow!
In addition to Abigail meeting some old friends we were also able to meet a new friend. David Joseph Ellison was born on July 3 and we were so excited to meet him. Hmmmm, David and Abigail, I wonder if history will repeat itself! :)

5 Weeks Old

Gill's mom calls her the "motion junkie." :) She loves any type of movement- as long as she's being held while moving. We're working on enjoying movement where mom isn't needed- i.e the swing and bouncy seat!!! :)

Busy, Busy, Busy

It's been quite the eventful week around here. Abigail has met tons of family and one special new friend.
One of the highlights of the last week was Abigail's meeting Uncle Macky and Aunt Katie who were in the states from Hawaii. The much awaited introduction began with Uncle Macky's changing a delightful poopy diaper. (The video is HILARIOUS!) The reason for their coming home was for Katie's sister's wedding. We were able to make the reception and Abigail enjoyed being passed around; although she slept most of the time.
In addition to meeting more family Abigail and I were able to take a walk and have a mini photo shoot with new friend Lexie who is just a couple of weeks older than Abigail. They were so cute together!
We've had a great time in Newberry and plan to head back to Columbus later this week. Abigail will be 6 weeks old at the end of the week and is starting to settle into a little routine of sorts.

One Month

Abigail is officially one month old! It has been a wild ride, but I love her so much! Here are some recent pictures taken while visiting the Price Family in SC. Abigail has been enjoying her time with Papa and has met several family members for the first time including her Great grandmother "Granny." Enjoy!

Abigail and I have recently been given the name "Gill's Girls." I wanted to post some pictures of the two of us, but I'm always the one taking the pictures! :0 I'm currently in SC visiting with family and had Gill's mom take some pictures for me when Abigail wasn't crying. :)
Abigail obviously can't tell me what she thinks about being called one of "Gill's Girls" but I know she'd say that she was proud just like me. I have the world's greatest husband and she has the world's greatest daddy.... we're two lucky ladies and know it!

Recently Abigail has had some special visitors. Last week each afternoon our sweet friends Ruthie and Abbey Lee came by. I used to babysit for Abbey Lee who is now a beautiful eighth grader! Gill and I took Abbey Lee on a "date" when we were dating and she educated us on the meaning of her name; Abigail - her father delights/rejoices. At that point we decided if we were ever to have a little girl her name would be Abigail! :) Our Abigail really enjoyed spending time with Abbey Lee as you can see.
Today my Aunt "Tessa" and cousin Ashley came to visit. As you can see from the picture Ashley and I look a lot alike! :) We have called Ashley my "mini me" for years. Ashley is now calling Abigail her "mini mini me".

New Dress

Abigail was able to visit some new friends yesterday on an outing so I thought it appropriate to put on her new dress. :) She looked adorable and was quite the hit with her new friends Eli, Caroline and Catherine. I can't wait until she's old enough to wear bows in her hair! :)

Happy Father's Day

Tomorrow marks Gill's first Father's Day! I thought I might post a few father/daughter pictures in tribute to this exciting occasion! As you all probably know Gill is an amazing daddy and Abigail already knows and enjoys her daddy. Most recently she has been enjoying hearing him sing hymns to her. For some reason the sound of his voice calms her even when in a serious fit of fussiness! You can see that for yourself in the picture of Abigail laying in my lap watching her "daddy video" on our lap top. Gill and I made a video for her of him singing praise and worship songs and playing the guitar.

Some "Firsts"

Yesterday Abigail enjoyed her first bath.She loved it so much she fell asleep! :) The only part she didn't enjoy was getting out! We'll have to work on that part. :)I love the Aveeno baby wash she was given it makes it even harder to resist smelling and kissing her.
She also enjoyed trying out her swing for the first time. She has to stay swaddled in order to fit inside; she's still a little on the small side- and I LOVE it. :)

Our First Week

Well, it's been a busy, wonderful, exhausting and blessed week for the Price family. Abigail was 1 week old yesterday and much has happened in a week. When we left the hospital Abigail was slightly jaundiced so we spent each day last week in the pediatricians office for a heel prick to check her bilirubin levels. On Thursday, after daily elevations they decided to treat her with a "bili blanket." Her levels are coming down and we hope that after a recheck tomorrow that she can come off of her blanket treatment. In addition to being jaundiced Abigail has been diagnosed with reflux which has caused difficulty and discomfort with feedings. She is on two medications with hopes that after a month or so she can come off of both. Despite her medical needs she is such a sweet, sweet baby. She rarely gets upset and has been such a trooper. Gill and I have enjoyed loving on her, changing her, feeding her and learning how to be parents. We are both humbled at the Lord's many blessings and sweet care of all three of us. Children are truly a gift from God and we thank Him for blessing us with Abigail.

Abigail's Arrival!

Abigail McGill Price arrived at 5:25 pm on May 23, 2008 weighing in at 7 pounds 0 oz. and 20.5 inches long. She's absolutely perfect and we're enjoying every second with her. Who knew you could watch a baby for hours in total amazement? :)

Here are the pictures of our little one. We think she's the most beautiful baby we've ever laid eyes on!

Where is your heart?

Gill answers this question pretty clearly! :) He found a bumper sticker stating where his heart is and then promptly attached it to his shirt. Again, his smile is contagious and brings me much delight. I pray Abigail has the same contagious smile!

Sweet Mother's Day Gift

Even though Abigail is still in the womb my sweet husband made sure I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Gill sent me some beautiful flowers and then sent me a picture of some he had picked! I love the look on Gill's face; his grin always makes me smile!
